About me
With 18 years of classroom experience, Kelly Bellar brings a deep, practical understanding of the K-12 spectrum to her work. Her teaching career spans 6th-grade World Cultures, 7th-grade Texas History, and 8th-grade US History, as well as instruction in AP Human Geography and AP Government. Since joining Region 10 ESC in 2018, she has translated that diverse background into a mission to empower and support educators across the region.
She views Social Studies as the essential foundation for a well-informed public, focusing her professional development on inquiry-based learning, historical thinking skills, and the critical practice of civil discourse. As a dedicated lifelong learner, she is committed to helping teachers move beyond the textbook to cultivate students who are prepared to be engaged, analytical, and productive citizens.
