Children’s literature offers an avenue through which to teach students to be good citizens, understand the basic foundations of government, and explore historical figures. Law-Related Education uses books and complimentary activities to link social studies with reading and language arts. Teachers will receive an LRE created children’s book list aligned to the TEKS, LRE lessons that incorporate the books, and engaging resources to use in the classroom. (K-5)
Join the Law-Related Education team as we explore opportunities to engage students and put learning in their hands. Participants will explore content based manipulative resources that provide opportunities for students to make connections in history. These inquiry-based activities allow students to explore, share, and ask questions. Participants will receive access to all materials. This session is perfect for teachers at all grade levels that work with Texas History, US History, and US Government.
